Shana Morris

Administrative Associate

Having grown up in North Carolina, Shana graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics Education. Knowing that she wanted to teach college level courses and focus on family finances, Shana obtained a Master of Science Degree in Home Economics and Consumer Education from Utah State University. Her master’s thesis included original research looking at a person’s satisfaction with financial skills after taking a family finance course. After finishing her degree at Utah State University, Shana taught various family finance and consumerism courses at the university.

Once her husband’s job moved the family to Virginia, Shana chose to stay home to raise their four children. A subsequent move to the central valley of California and the maturing of her children gave Shana the desire to return to the workforce. Utah State University began offering their degree programs online, and Shana taught a course in Consumer Credit Problems which focused on financial topics such as credit card debt, mortgages, and bankruptcy. A desire to connect with people in person led Shana to work for Visalia Unified School District as a principal’s assistant at a local elementary school where she was in charge of school budgets, purchasing, testing and textbooks. A job change for her husband brought their family to Santa Maria where Shana joined Ogden Wealth Management in December 2014 as an Administrative Associate. She thoroughly enjoys her accounting work at Ogden Wealth Management.

When she isn’t working, Shana enjoys spending time with her husband Glenn, her four children and granddaughter. Any spare time is spent reading, sewing and playing the piano and organ.
